The VELUX FS S06 is the largest FS fixed skylight in the current Australian pitched-roof range, measuring 1140 × 1180mm with approximately 1052 × 1091mm of visible glass and 1.15m² of daylight area. Ideal for large living rooms, open-plan kitchens, dining areas, extensions, feature stairwells where you want natural light without ventilation. Suitable for pitched tile and metal roofs from 15°–90° when paired with the correct flashing — VELUX EDW for compatible tile or low-profile corrugated roofs, or Central Skylights custom Colorbond flashing for TrimDeck, Klip-Lok and other roof-specific applications.

The VELUX FS S06 is the largest FS fixed skylight in the current Australian pitched-roof range. Its 1140 × 1180mm frame, approximately 1052 × 1091mm visible glass and 1.15m² daylight area make it particularly useful for large living rooms, open-plan kitchens, dining areas, extensions, feature stairwells, large bedrooms. Choose the skylight size first, then match the flashing to the actual tile or metal roof profile.

Which Flashing Should You Use With FS S06?
Flashing is sold separately. The right choice depends on roof material, roof profile and pitch. VELUX EDW is the factory flashing for compatible tile and low-profile corrugated roofs; wider profiles such as TrimDeck and Klip-Lok need a roof-specific custom flashing.

FS S06 is designed for rooms where natural daylight and sky view are the priority but ventilation is not needed. S06 provides approximately 1.15m² of visible glass, creating a major daylight feature rather than simply brightening a small zone.
VELUX specifies the FS range for suitable pitched-roof installations from 15° to 90°. Current VELUX AU performance data lists a skylight U-value of 2.5, SHGC of 0.21, approximately 75% radiant heat block and about 99% reduction of harmful UV.

Orientation: VELUX pitched-roof skylights are intended to be installed in the orientation shown for each size. Do not rotate the product 90° to create a different format.
Daylight is not determined by glass area alone. Shaft depth, ceiling height, room orientation, wall colours and skylight position all influence the finished result.

Roof below 15°? FS is a pitched-roof skylight. A lower-pitch project may need a properly designed inclined custom flashing to bring the skylight to a suitable angle, or an FCM flat-roof skylight may be the better product.

Does VELUX FS S06 open?
No. FS S06 is fixed and designed for natural daylight. For the same size, compare VS, VSE, VSS opening models.
Can FS S06 be installed on a tile roof?
Yes. For compatible concrete or terracotta tiled roofs in the pitched-roof range, VELUX EDW S06 is the standard factory flashing option.
Can FS S06 be installed on Corrugated Colorbond?
Yes. VELUX EDW can suit compatible low-profile corrugated roofing. Central Skylights also supplies custom Colorbond flashing where a roof-specific solution is preferred or required.
Can FS S06 be installed on TrimDeck or Klip-Lok?
Yes, but VELUX states EDW is not suitable for wide-span profiles such as TrimDeck or Klip-Lok. Use a roof-profile-specific custom flashing.
Is FS S06 suitable below 15°?
FS is designed for pitched roofs from 15°. A lower-pitch project needs a different installation approach, such as an assessed inclined flashing that raises the skylight to a suitable angle, or potentially an FCM flat-roof product.
Can I add a blind?
Yes. Matching FSCD Solar Honeycomb Blackout and FSLD Solar Translucent blinds are available for this FS size.
