Low-pitched roofs: VELUX pitched roof skylights (FS, VS, VSE) are typically designed for roof pitches of 15 degrees or more. A custom-made pitch adapter flashing is required to ensure a watertight installation for pitches between 0 and 15 degrees, or when you need flashing to match your roof colour.
High-profile roofing: While VELUX’s standard EDW flashing is designed for tile and corrugated iron, it may not be suitable for high-profile roof materials over 120 mm.
Specific metal profiles: Standard VELUX EDW flashing is not recommended for metal roof profiles such as Trimdek, Klip-Lok, or Colorbond. Custom base flashing is needed for these types of roofs to ensure proper waterproofing.
