Genuine VELUX EDW flashing for GGL and GPL roof windows, designed for a single compatible roof window on suitable tile or conventional corrugated metal roofing. Choose the EDW size code that matches your roof window — CK02, CK04, MK04, MK06, MK08 or SK06. GGL roof windows suit 15°–90° roofs, while GPL dual-action roof windows suit 15°–55°; EDW is not suitable for wide-span metal profiles such as TrimDeck or Klip-Lok. Noble Park pickup, Melbourne delivery and professional roof-window installation advice are available.
This EDW range is for VELUX GGL centre-pivot and GPL dual-action roof windows using CK, MK and SK size codes. It integrates one compatible roof window into suitable tile or conventional corrugated metal roofing, with a pleated lower apron and side/head drainage channels that return rainwater safely around the opening.
GGL/GPL roof windows use CK, MK and SK codes. Standard FS/VS/VSE/VSS skylights use C, M and S codes. They may look similar, but they are not interchangeable products.

| Roof profile | Starting recommendation | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Concrete / terracotta tile | EDW | Standard VELUX roof-window flashing application when product and pitch are compatible. |
| Conventional corrugated iron | EDW can suit | VELUX publishes EDW for tile/corrugated iron roof-window installations. |
| TrimDeck / TRIMDEK® | Do not use standard EDW | Wide-span profile excluded by VELUX; send roof details for an appropriate flashing solution. |
| Klip-Lok / KLIP-LOK® | Do not use standard EDW | Wide-span concealed-fix profile excluded by VELUX standard EDW guidance. |
| Roof below 15° | Project assessment required | GGL/GPL roof windows are pitched-roof products and should not simply be installed flat to a lower-pitch roof. |
EDW is a weather-management system, not just trim around the roof window.
Receives roof water above the window and moves it toward the side channels.
Form gutters around the roof window so water is directed around rather than into the opening.
The lower apron is shaped to the compatible tile or corrugated profile and discharges water back onto the roof below.
We have not labelled these photos as GGL/GPL unless the exact project proves that model. They are genuine Central Skylights roof details used to demonstrate tile-roof flashing, integration and drainage principles.
The exact models shown may differ from GGL/GPL. These images are used as roof-flashing evidence rather than model-specific product photos.
Send a photo of the VELUX data plate plus a clear roof photo. We can help identify the roof-window size code, roof profile and whether standard EDW is the correct flashing before you order.
Match the EDW code to the roof-window code on the VELUX data plate or order documentation. Current sizes are CK02, CK04, MK04, MK06, MK08 and SK06. Do not choose by approximate measurements alone.
Some sizes fit both, but not all. CK02 is GGL-only in the current Australian range, while MK06 is GPL-only. CK04, MK04, MK08 and SK06 are available in both GGL and GPL.
GGL centre-pivot roof windows are currently specified for 15°–90° roofs. GPL dual-action roof windows are specified for 15°–55°. Always follow the roof-window model's pitch range as well as the flashing requirements.
No. VELUX states its standard EDW flashing is not suitable for wide-span metal profiles such as TrimDeck and Klip-Lok. Send roof photos and profile details so an appropriate alternative flashing solution can be assessed.
No. MK06 is a GGL/GPL roof-window size code; M06 is a standard skylight size code used with FS/VS/VSE/VSS products. They are different product families, so always match the full VELUX code rather than only the numbers.
Central Skylights supplies genuine VELUX roof windows, EDW flashing and matching accessories from Noble Park. Builders, roofers and renovators can order supply-only, while suitable Melbourne projects can also request professional installation.
