Tile roofs: check the matching EDW kit
For suitable pitched tiled roofs, a compatible VELUX pitched-roof skylight paired with the correct EDW flashing is often the starting point. Confirm tile profile, model and actual roof pitch before buying.
Corrugated metal: check profile, pitch and flashing
Many pitched metal-roof projects use custom flashing. Some suitable roof/model combinations may allow manufacturer kits. Check the actual roof conditions rather than assuming all corrugated roofs take the same flashing.
Trimdek & Klip-Lok: roof-profile specific flashing
Wide-rib and concealed-fix metal roof profiles need their own water-management approach. Select flashing made for the exact profile, pitch, model and orientation; do not assume standard corrugated or tile flashing is compatible.
Flat or low-pitch: choose the right VELUX family first
FCM fixed flat-roof skylights and compatible opening flat-roof models require appropriate roof construction, kerb/upstand and flashing. Do not assume a pitched-roof FS model is suitable at a lower pitch.

VELUX FS is a fixed skylight for suitable pitched roofs; FCM is a fixed skylight range for flat or low-pitch roof applications. Their installation and flashing requirements are different.
