The VELUX VCS 3046 is one of the strongest all-round VCS sizes for kitchens, dining and open-plan rooms, measuring 870 × 1275mm with approximately 698 × 1104mm of internal glass, 0.77m² daylight area and 1.13m² ventilation area. It combines solar-powered opening, wireless control, automatic rain closing and a removable insect screen, and weighs approximately 43.1kg excluding flashing. KERB / UPSTAND
Flat Roof Does Not Mean “Sit It Flat”
VCS is rated for 0°–60°, but VELUX recommends a slight 3°–5° pitch where practical to reduce condensation build-up and water ponding on the glass.
Kerb height, water direction, roof profile, flashing and backflash should be planned as one system.

Kerb, Upstand & Installation Planning
VCS is curb-mounted. The timber base/kerb, lining, waterproofing and flashing need to be coordinated so the roof loads and water path are properly managed.
