FCM 3055 for Tile, Corrugated, TrimDeck & Klip-Lok Roofs
FCM is a curb-mounted skylight. It sits on a correctly built kerb/upstand and the flashing integrates that raised base with the surrounding roof. That allows suitable FCM installations on both tiled and metal roofing when the detail is properly designed.
Tile RoofConcrete and terracotta tile roofs can be accommodated with a suitable kerb/upstand and custom flashing detail around the tile courses.
Corrugated MetalCustom Colorbond flashing can be formed for conventional corrugated roofing and the actual roof fall.
TrimDeckWider trapezoidal pans and ribs need a roof-profile-specific custom flashing detail.

Pair FCM 3055 With the Matching Custom Flashing
VELUX specifies that FCM skylights require custom-made flashing. Central Skylights manufactures matching flashing for FCM 3055, allowing the skylight and roof-specific flashing to be ordered from one supplier.
For metal roofs, choose Corrugated, TrimDeck or Klip-Lok. For tiled roofs, the flashing and kerb/upstand need to coordinate with the surrounding concrete or terracotta tiles. Prefabricated and Flat Pack flashing options are available, with backflash where the roof detail calls for additional water management.

FCM 3055 is a fixed, non-opening glass skylight for projects where natural daylight is the priority. It delivers over a square metre of visible glass area while remaining narrower than the 1275mm-wide feature sizes.
VELUX specifies the FCM range for roof pitches from 0° to 60°. High-performance double glazing blocks approximately 70% of radiant heat and provides approximately 99% protection from harmful UV, while NEAT™ exterior coating helps reduce cleaning frequency.

Daylight depends on the whole room. Shaft depth, shaft shape, ceiling height, room orientation, finishes and skylight position all affect the final result.
FCM 3055 for Tile & Metal Roofs
FCM 3055 requires a custom roof interface rather than a standard boxed flashing kit. The flashing should match the roof material, pitch, drainage direction and the kerb/upstand supporting the skylight.

VELUX recommends a slight pitch where practical. Although FCM is specified from 0°, approximately 3°–5° is recommended where possible to help reduce water ponding on the glass.
Kerb / Upstand, Orientation & Replacement Planning
FCM is curb-mounted. The skylight sits on a properly constructed kerb or upstand, and the flashing connects that raised base to the surrounding tile or metal roof.

Can FCM 3055 be installed on a tile roof?
Yes. A suitable concrete or terracotta tile roof can accommodate FCM 3055 when the skylight is supported on the correct kerb/upstand and the custom flashing is detailed to work with the surrounding tiles and drainage.
Can FCM 3055 be installed on Corrugated, TrimDeck or Klip-Lok?
Yes, subject to a suitable roof and installation design. Central Skylights manufactures made-to-order flashing for these metal roof profiles.
Does FCM 3055 include flashing?
No. VELUX specifies custom-made flashing for FCM skylights. Central Skylights sells the matching FCM 3055 flashing separately in Prefabricated or Flat Pack formats.
Does FCM 3055 open?
No. FCM 3055 is fixed and intended for daylight. There is no same-size VCM/VCS opening model in the current Australian range, so compare a nearby opening size if ventilation is required.
Can FCM 3055 replace an old acrylic dome?
It can suit many acrylic-dome replacement projects, but compatibility depends on the existing roof opening, kerb dimensions, flashing, shaft and roof condition. Measure and photograph the existing installation before ordering.
